This position will provide technical support to the paper department to achieve key operation objectives in safety, environmental compliance, reliability, production, quality, and cost. This position will report to the Paper Area Leader and play a key role on the paper team of 160+ employees.Our TeamGeorgia-Pacific Monticello is a fully integrated containerboard mill that employs over 450 employees and continues to benefit from extensive capital investment. Our engineering team is continuing to grow with these two new opportunities!What You Will DoInfluence a culture of safety and environmental excellence through critical hazard identification, risk reduction, risk mitigation, management of change, & safety initiativesSpearhead event-free outage planning & executionOwn small project planning & execution in the Paper Area as the Operations representativeAssist Department Leadership with continuous improvement within the GP Operating SystemRespond to machine upsets & assist team with troubleshooting & problem-solving exercisesPartner with the Asset Availability Leader (AAL) to resolve process alertsWrite contracts & upkeep clothing and consumables inventoryWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Troubleshooting, commissioning, and / or improving manufacturing equipment and processesManaging projects or leading initiativesAuditing LOTO proceduresParticipating in PHA auditsUsing Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookNavigating PI Vision and/or ParcView data historiansBachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant technical discipline2+ years’ experience in manufacturing or industrial operations environmentExperience with the following:What Will Put You AheadExperience leading a team2+ years’ experience in the Pulp & Paper industry5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or industrial operations environmentAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
